Patrick Masoya arrived in Arizona almost 18 years ago from the Democratic Republic of Congo. He came to Arizona as a refugee and has lived here since. He graduated from Western International University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business and from Grand Canyon University with an MBA in Finance.
He is an entrepreneur and philanthropist. Currently a partner in a tax and accounting firm, he started as a senior processor for a Scottsdale insurance company, then as a revenue auditor for the Arizona Department of Insurance before opening his business. He is currently working on his Master’s in Taxation.
Patrick embodies servant leadership and this has been fueled in his philanthropic ventures. He is currently the President of RICE – Refugees and Immigrants for Community Empowerment. Prior to RICE, he was the President of Congolese Community of Arizona. During his tenure at both organizations, he has coordinated  first aid and CPR training's, male safety and domestic violence courses and women empowerment courses.

Patrick is fluent in English, French, Swahili and Lingala and is learning Spanish. He loves traveling, reading and spending time with his children.
Patrick's desire for humanitarian services is what has driven him to fight for this top position to serve the good people of the state of Arizona and the world at large/ and the United State of America.
